This Week at Alpha II

October 9, 2026

Gobble Gobble. As we approach turkey weekend, A2 got to baking! With 100 bags of carrots needing to be used, some mentees made delicious carrot cake.

On Thursday, Hartley took some folks from A2 along with the JSA to a Sukhut Art Exhibit.

A shout-out to the unofficial pickle committee who entered the pickle contest at Picklefest. Unfortunately, we did not win any prizes, but our hearts and bellies were full of pickles.

Our Parent Council met on Thursday. Shira was elected to continue in her role as Parent Council Chair. Thank you, Shira, for your continued commitment to supporting our school and community. You rock!

Wishing all families a restful long weekend.

A Note from Your Mentor Team

We just wanted to take the time to celebrate the start of the school year kicking off in a great way. The vibes have felt calm and really positive. Thanks to all the mentees for bringing this energy into our space!

The mentors have also noticed a decrease in attendance the last couple of weeks. While we totally understand that there are many viruses floating around at this time of year, we want to gently remind families and mentees of the importance of attendance.

This is a metric that supports the success of our school. It has felt a bit empty and lonely here at A2. With all the cool things we have, we love seeing our mentees use our facilities to explore their creativity!
